PONCHO Salutes 21 Years of the Wine Auction...
Raise a glass to the vision and commitment of these PONCHO Wine Chairs as we celebrate 21 years of the PONCHO International Wine Auction for the Arts.
The PONCHO International Wine Auction for the Arts is proud to celebrate our 21st Anniversary in 2012! Seattle’s most exciting and elegant affair for wine and food aficionados alike, the PONCHO Wine Auction features a fantastic array of big bottles, unique and rare selections, verticals and special collections from the Northwest and around the world. Each year we showcase incredible finds for wine collectors and once-in-a-lifetime exclusive experiences for wine lovers and world travelers. The amazing bidding opportunities are endless. Don’t miss the excitement of the Live Auction on Friday, May 11, 2012 and the VIP Vintner Dinner on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
To add to the auction weekend’s excitement, PONCHO has welcomed distinguished winemakers as Honorary Chair for an unforgettable weekend of wine, gourmet cuisine and merriment. Our very first honoree, André Tchelistcheff, was a true trailblazer in American winemaking, and the PONCHO event was one of his last public appearances before his death in 1994. Since then, PONCHO has had the good fortune to host a number of world-renowned winemakers and personalities, including Tchelistcheff’s nephew, Walla Walla winemaker Alex Golitzin of Quilceda Creek Vintners. Dan Duckhorn charmed and delighted last year’s crowd, and we hope you’ll join us this year in welcoming Jean-Guillaume Prats of Château Cos d’Estournel to Seattle!
