Tips on Writing Good Grants

We ran across a very helpful article, titled "Writing Knockout Proposals," in the November 2006 issue of the GuideStar Newsletter. You may link to the article by clicking here. We hope you find it useful as well!

Other Ways to Receive PONCHO Funding

Organizations that meet the criteria to apply for a PONCHO grant can also receive and/or increase allocation funds by participating in the Procurement Partner Program.

Organizations participate by procuring items for any of the three PONCHO Auctions – Wine, Art or Gala. These items are marked as Procurement Partner items in the catalog and are announced by the auctioneer during the Live Auction. The organization receives 50% of the final sale price of the items they procured. This is a great way for organizations to promote themselves to a larger audience, get a higher return for a specialty item such as fine wine or art, and increase total dollars received from PONCHO.

For more information about participating in the Procurement Partner Program and for other related questions, please contact Whitney Burdsall, Assistant Development Director, at 206-623-6233 ext. 204 or whitney@poncho.org.
