PONCHO International Wine Auction: Italia! Vino Arte with Leadership Support from Wells Fargo, exceeded fund raising expectations this year by raising $915,000 for the arts! The auction was held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel on Saturday, May 22, 2010 and featured many rare auction items with support going to our local arts community. PONCHO was proud to welcome Ferdinado Frescobaldi from Italy as honorary vintner and Fritz Hatton from Napa as the evening’s auctioneer.
Co-chairs Doug True, Bob Parks and Dan McCarthy expressed gratitude to the auction’s patrons. “We appreciate the support of local wine enthusiasts, raising their paddles along with their glasses to support the arts and the importance of arts education in our community” remarked Bob Parks. “It was an exciting evening that stayed alive until the final auction lot, showing our community’s dedication to the arts” added Doug True.
