At last week's luncheon at The Sunset Club, we honored Bob Arnold - one of the founding board members of PONCHO, a successful businessman, and a true philanthropist - with the PONCHO 2006 Founders Award.
Amidst the humorous stories of Bob’s growing up, his exploits in college and as a Navy pilot in Korea, and his success in starting 90 companies as an angel investor, Bob has gone back time and again to make the community a richer and better place for us all by supporting a host of charitable causes. Bob and others are quick to point out that PONCHO gets the credit for educating him about the arts, and we are proud to have played that role.
In the spirit of all that PONCHO is and has been to people, Bob Arnold did something very untraditional: he gave his Founder’s Award of $10,000 back to PONCHO. As Bob put it in his remarks, “I want to give this to the best arts group I know, PONCHO.”
PONCHO asks you to do something untraditional too: support Bob’s challenge by making a donation to PONCHO today. Contact John Linder in the office at 206-623-6233 ext. 202 or john@poncho.org, or use the form sent to you in the mail to make your contribution and match Bob’s generous gift.
