The next time you attend the theatre, ballet, symphony, or opera, take a closer look at Encore Arts Programs. You might see some people you know – some people you know very well.
Beginning February 7, 2007 a series of interviews will run in Encore Arts Programs featuring several of PONCHO’s illustrious supporters telling the PONCHO story to more than 400,000 Encore readers. The series will spotlight the wonderful memories, great successes and interesting personalities that have contributed to PONCHO’s rich and fascinating history.
The interviews titled “PONCHO Founders Interview Series,” is a key element in a new partnership with Encore Media Group to remind people of PONCHO’s role in founding, shaping and maintaining this area’s vital arts community. The series will lead up to the Founders Luncheon in June presented by Encore Arts Programs.
“We’re tremendously thrilled and honored to feature in this campaign the leaders who have been instrumental to PONCHO’s success,” said Paul Heppner, President of Encore Media Group. “We’re pleased to acknowledge these individuals and their support for the vibrant cultural enterprises that enrich the communities in which we live. It’s an absolutely marvelous partnership and a magnificent way to inaugurate our support for PONCHO’s work on behalf of the arts.”
Featured PONCHO “historians” are Llewelyn Pritchard, Mark Levine, Michael Alhadeff, Carl Behnke and Cathi Hatch. Each is a past President of PONCHO and each has contributed significantly to PONCHO’s success and personality.
“You had to be there, is usually the answer I get when I ask about PONCHO’s past,” offered Gordon Hamilton, PONCHO Executive Director. “That’s what is so gratifying about being part of PONCHO today, we are writing the next chapter of the PONCHO story by working hard together to support the arts.”
Encore Media Group is the leading publisher of programs for performing arts organizations in the Pacific Northwest and San Francisco and also publishes City Arts Magazine, Travel Guides, and periodicals for major Northwest festivals and other select organizations and businesses.
PONCHO would like to thank Key Private Bank for its support in making this series possible.
