A 6 Magnum Vertical of Bodegas Alejandro Fernández Tinto Pesquera Gran Reserva
Alejandro Fernández is the father of Ribera del Duero wine as we know it today. Before he founded Pesquera in 1972, Vega Sicilia was one of the region's very few exporters. But Alejandro Fernández' meteoric rise in the 1980s, as well as his fierce loyalty to the native Tempranillo grape, inspired dozens of small wineries to emulate his success.
Despite the competition, Fernández remained the source when it came to wines that are a traditional expression of local terroirs and the Tempranillo grape.
PONCHO Wine Auction is pleased to offer a 6 Magnum Vertical of Bodegas Alejandro Fernández Tinto Pesquera Gran Reserva:
~1986, 1989, 1991, 1996 Tinto Pesquera Magnum Gran Reserva ~1996 Tinto Pesquera Magnum Millenium Reserva
"He is making the best red wine in what has become the hottest red wine region in Spain."
-Wine Spectator.
